About me

I hold a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University (September 2015) and a bachelor’s degree in English from Winston-Salem State University (December 2009). I am a National Certified Counselor. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I began my work in the field in 2008 as a residential counselor for 2 years at a behavioral health agency for youth and adolescents. I have 6 years of experience working with children with behavioral health needs. I became an LCMHCS Team Lead for Community Support Services at an agency that supports children and adults with mental health, behavioral health, and substance abuse diagnosis. I have 10 years’ worth of experience with the adult population, providing comprehensive recovery-oriented resources and supports in the areas of employment, education, and wellness for adults with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorders. I am also a Clinical Supervisor, offering supervision to mental health clinicians with an Associate License.
